Postdoc

I joined the team as a postdoctoral researcher in April 2021. I am from France where I completed a master degree in host-pathogens interactions at the Department of Virology at the Institute for Integrative Biology in Paris-Saclay. I continued my PhD in this team, working on the interaction between herpes virus and the autophagy pathway. During my PhD, I studied how the human cytomegalovirus hijacks the autophagic machinery to assemble and to acquire its envelope in human cells. For this, I used cellular biology, fluorescent microscopy and EM techniques to understand this process at different scales. Here I will focus on using multi-modal EM imaging to visualise processes of antibacterial immunity in host-pathogen interactions between intracellular bacteria and mammalian cells.

In my free time, I like being outside, and I love making and drinking coffee.
