CIFIC Postdoc jointly with Jeffrey van Haren (Erasmus MC)
I obtained my BSc and MSc in Nanobiology at the TU Delft and Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, where I gained a deep appreciation for the molecular mechanisms behind life. In 2020, I joined Jeffrey van Haren’s group at the Erasmus MC for my PhD to study the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton in a variety of cell types and processes.
Now I’m bringing the biology back to Delft with me! As a postdoc with the flagship CIFIC convergence, I will use correlative and time-resolved cryo-EM to look closer at the organization of actin polymerization machinery in cells. This project is in collaboration with the Optical Imaging Centre (OIC) at the Erasmus MC.
When I’m not behind a microscope, I like to walk around the city, play (video)games or nerd out about basketball.
